This is interesting new information to me. I'm going to look into Fortibone here in Toronto (apparently the active collagen ingredient in the CanPrev-Collagen Bone powder formula) and consider that as an addition to my "bone health stash". Thank you!
What I have found that contains fortibone is very expensive -- I can't tell from this writing whether it's worth $2-$3+ per serving, but I'm guessing not.
I have been told that unfortunately the bone density gains from Evenity are quickly lost unless 'locked in' with a bisphosphonate. That's a big worry for me as I'm half way through my year of Evenity and really not keen on the way bisphosphonates work or their potential side effects.
I am starting to take Fortibone but my powder does not contain Vitamin C, which I understand is important for best effects. I don’t want to make a smoothie every day and I would prefer not to drink it with orange juice. Any suggestions?
Hey, no, I’m not sure where you can, unfortunately! It would always be appropriate to discuss with your GP before starting any new supplements like this.
Ok thank you. Are you writing from the UK by the way?
My gp was utterly uninterested in providing any help other than telling me I’ll be rescanned in 5 years. Cancer in early 40s, chemo menopause … not sure I’d bother asking my gp!
I know. It’s very frustrating. Information like yours is invaluable so huge thanks. What would be equivalent to the Fortibone brand you discussed that you can buy here?

HI Kate, I’m not sure specifically. When I have just looked it up, a lot of fruits tend to be high in Vit C.
Thanks for the update.
I was surprised to hear that certain collagen strengthen the bones. Good to know.
Do you know where you can buy Fortibone in the uk? Oestopenia.

I am writing from the UK, I understand it can be difficult to speak to your GP. But unfortunately they are the access point.
